1. Since I forgot to post my Thankful Thursday yesterday, I will leave a few thoughts below:
- I am thankful that no matter who is in the White House, God is ON THE THRONE.
- I am thankful for the privilege to cast my vote. Standing in line for two hours, gives an opportunity to reach out to others. We may have been different colors, genders, and creeds, but we had one thing in common. We all live in the “land of the free, and the home of the brave”!
- Even though my candidate(s) lost, I am still very thankful, and very proud to be an American! Going forward, I commit to pray daily for President-Elect Obama, his beautiful family, and our country.
- I am thankful that even though I may not know what the future holds, I know WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE!
2. I’ve been battling the sinus crud all week. NOT FUN!
3. The change from DST to EST is kicking my tail! Seriously, can’t we just skip that whole “time change thing” next year? ;-)
4. I am very excited about “reading” this book. KISA has posted a review on his blog, and I am going to pick it up next. I put reading in quotation marks because it’s actually more of an experience… go here to see what I mean.
5. FAMILY NIGHT tonight will be a big PAJAMA PARTY!! We’re gonna have breakfast for supper, and have a night-time Easter egg hunt in our PJs with flashlights. Then we’ll come back inside and make little “milky-ways in a blanket” (thanks to Brandi). To end the evening, we’ll get in our sleeping bags, camp-out in our living room, and watch a movie. I haven’t decided on which movie yet, so feel free to leave your suggestions in my comments. (PLEASE?!?!)
**BONUS ROUND**
Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement this week. You can keep track of what’s going on with my friend Dori and her sweet baby, Josef Collin, here. Also, my Baby Sis is hanging in there. She’s got her resume updated and circulating. And even though times are tough, she’s still on Cloud Nine about the new love in her life. You can follow her story over at her blog.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, EVERYBODY!!
