Family Night - Football Edition

I just realized I never posted the pictures from last week's family night!  It was football night and we had a blast!!  After everyone geared up in our GARNET and CRIMSON, we did warm-up drills including sit-ups, push-ups, jumping-jacks and toe-touches.  Then we went outside and while the boys "practiced" with Coach Dad, I taught Emilee some cheers.  We tumbled and ran and worked up a sweat!  Then we came in and "called audibles" to order our dinner.  I got this idea from a party planning website, and instead of making the sandwiches ourselves, I came up with a "playbook" of orders for Firehouse Subs.  Too cool!

While Coach Dad "went long" to fetch our dinner, the rest of the team hit the showers and got ready for the second half.  When we were done eating, the kids decorated their own team visors (we were supposed to make footballs, but Coach Mom couldn't find ANY brown felt or foam at the local Wal-Mart, so she adjusted that play).  We baked brownies (yes, I was determined we were going to have SOMETHING the color of a football!!) and watched The Game Plan to end the night.  It was awesome!!

And to make it even more special, BOTH our teams ended up winning last weekend!! (Maybe we should have had another pep rally this week!?!?!) :-)

Sorry to have shared only "posed" shots.  Once the festivities got cranked up, I forgot to take time for pics of the action in between!!  Trust me, a great time was had by all!

Wait! I did manage to get a shot of our completed craft for the night... FYI: Jacob made his for Daddy! ;-)

Looks like you guys had fun! Too bad you didn't have tiger paws on your crafts! At any rate, I am sure your kids will remember these family nights forever. How special this will be to them! Keep it up...you guys are an inspiration!

Love You!

Wow, you are hands down, undoubtedly the coolest mom EVER! I can't imagine being organized enough to do this more than once or twice a YEAR, let alone EVERY WEEK! Looks like an awesome evening!!
