The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song. --- Psalm 28:7
We're winding down the summer with only two weeks left until school starts. While it has passed all to quickly, we have had so much fun! We still have a few more things yet to experience, and so very much to be thankful for!
- I am thankful that Margie (my MIL) has made arrangements to treat my oldest to a trip to Washington, D.C.! (This is something she wants to do for each of the children when they get old enough... take them on a special trip.) They are leaving on August 9, and Emilee will experience her very first plane ride. She is SO EXCITED!
- I am thankful that even though I had to jump through several hoops constructed of red tape to get Em a photo ID (in order to be able to board the plane), IT'S DONE, and she is READY TO GO!
- I am thankful that I will finally reach the end of my "Wisdom Tooth Saga" on Tuesday, August 5. I am having surgery to have them removed. ...See that??? It's the LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL!! ;-)
- I am thankful that KISA has planned a lovely weekend for us in two weeks to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. We will be going to Charleston, SC and revisiting our honeymoon. We're even staying at the same hotel! I am SO EXCITED!!
- I am thankful for the wonderful Family Night that we pulled together at the last minute last night. It was "S" night: Steak, Salad, Squash, Skillet Potatoes (okay, that was a bit of a stretch...) and a game of SORRY! We had a blast!! (The kids had a pretty good time, too!) ;-)
- I am thankful for all the prayer support God has put in place for Revolution Church. Thanks to ALL OF YOU who have agreed to "stand in the gap" for us as we continue on towards the goal of planting the church that GOD DESIRES here in Florence, SC! Your prayers and support mean SO MUCH, and we could never express how truly grateful we are for them!!!
- More than anything on this earth, I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who despite all my short-comings and failures, chose to shed his blood on Calvary's cross to give me LIFE eternal and abundant!! Thank you Jesus; You are my SAVIOR KING!!
What are you thankful for today??
Hop on over to see Iris @ Sting My Heart, and share with us!!

Really great thankful list sweetie.
Your list made me smile. I love the idea of a theme family night. How fun! Congrats on your upcoming anniversary! That is just so sweet you get to revisit your honeymoon. I hope my husband and I can do that sometime.
Wonderful thankful list! I am so glad you are having surgery to remove your wisdom tooth. I had mine done some years back. I am praying for you that the Lord will see to a smooth surgery and speedy recovery. Happy anniversary to you! Thanks for sharing your thankful heart with us. Take care and God bless!

I hope you have a wonderful time in Charleston. I am thankful for my friends and you and your mother are two of them. The Lord has blessed me so much and he knows exactly what I need. He is so good!
What am I thankful for? Too many things to count--but here are a few--
--for you & Chris being bold & willing to trust God and step into unfamiliar territory to serve Him
--for my KISA--he is truly wonderful
--for the God-gifted writers that He has placed in my life--Beth Moore; Sharon Jaynes; Elizabeth George;
Henry Blackaby and sons; J. Vernon McGee; and the list goes on
--for the precious privilege to fellowship with my Lord over His Word each morning
--for His being patient with me even though I have known Him as Saviour since age 7 --I am still growing and learning
--for His mercy and grace
Love,
Judy
