1) Revolution Church had another great team gathering last night! Chris gave his ONE PRAYER message: "God Make Us Disciples". We don't want to merely be content as "bench warmers" for the Kingdom. We want to be fully devoted followers of Christ, and lead others to do the same! Simply said, the best way to lead others to become disciples of Christ is to BE ONE, yourself!! Here's a great quote from last night's study:
"It all comes down to a decision. Will we make our faith real and impacting, relinquishing our pride to allow us to learn and grow, and in turn teach others, or will we plant our rears in the pew, so that our only impact is our butt print in that pew!" - R.J. Krejcir
2) Mary Spirit Mondays will begin on July 7!! I am so excited about the response I have had to this post. I am going to hold off for a couple of weeks, to give everyone who wants to participate a chance to purchase the book. There's always room for one more, so if you haven't gotten in on this little "Bloggy Bible Study", come on! ;-)
3) It was such a privilege to meet Christie Sharp, live and in person, this past weekend. She and I belong to a group called Church Planter Wives on Facebook. I love connecting with these girls; they are such a blessing!!! We visited Christie and John at North Point Community Church on Sunday, and had a wonderful time worshipping with them. They made us feel so welcome and at home. Thanks guys...YOU ROCK!!! (Oh yeah, and John just started blogging! Check him out, here.)
4) After everyone left last night, and we got the kids all snug in their beds, Chris let me "preview" a couple more ONE PRAYER messages. Last week, Craig Groeschel led our team with his message: "God Make us ONE". It was such an awesome night! Chris is still trying to decide on the final two messages for our series. There are so many to choose from, and he's narrowed it down to about four or five, but MAN! They are ALL great! Last night, we watched Chris Hodges, "God Make us Authentic", and Gary Lamb, "God Make Us Revolutionary". Their communication styles are as different as night and day, but BOTH these guys NAILED IT!! So awesome to see churches coming together AS ONE!
"There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all." (Ephesians 4: 4-6)
5) The kids and I are traveling back to Columbia tomorrow to spend the rest of the week with Nana and Papa. I'll try to blog a little from there (IF Mama lets me get my hands on her new laptop!!), but if I don't get the chance, I'll be back next week. Have a good one!!!
