In All Circumstances??

What a doozie of a week it has been!  But despite all the unpleasantness surrounding That Nasty Little "P" Word,  there's always room for giving thanks!

Be joyful always; pray continually; giving thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

So without further ado....

  • I am thankful for the quality time Miss Em and I have shared during our infirmity.
  • I am thankful for my Mom and Dad who came and rescued Sam from the pit of despair sick house.  He is the only one who had his flu shot! (Thankful for that, too!)
  • I am thankful for my sweet mother-in-law who was ready to drop everything at a moment's notice, and come to take care of us.  (Even though I wouldn't let her, for fear of her getting the "crud" and not being able to travel next week on business.)
  • I am thankful for a sweet husband, who has taken care of me (and the kids, and still managed to get some work done) over the last week and a half, and has yet to utter a cross word, or even allow one moment of a negative attitude escape his being.  What a Man!! He truly is my KISA!
  • I am thankful that my little man, Jacob, has been willing to pitch in and help his Dad around the house, help take care of "the girls", and get himself ready for school each morning (without Big Sister), all while sporting the most winning smile you've ever seen!  (Even if it is minus one more tooth!)
  • I am thankful that Sweet Husband, and Little Man, are both still healthy, and have shown no signs of getting sick, whatsoever.  And, I earnestly pray they both stay that way!!
  • I am thankful for all of the sweet friends who have called and emailed to let us know they are praying for us, and have offered to bring meals so that I don't Chris doesn't have to cook! What a blessing!
  • And last, but not least...because of having to take breathing treatments every four hours, around the clock, I am thankful for every.single.breath.I. breathe!!

What are you thankful for today?  Leave a comment, and feel free join us for Thankful Thursday over at Sting My Heart.

There is always so much to be thankful for, even when it doesn't look like it at first glance, isn't there? Your attitude is wonderful and I really hope you're feeling like yourself soon!!

Hey Sweet Susanne,

Look like we had the same "theme" for our Thankful Thursday.

Thanking God in ALL things!

I'm so blessed to read your daughter is better and you were surrounded by so much help and LOVE.

I'm sure you would do the same for everyone mentioned.

I LOVE the song you have playing, we sing this in church. What a wonderful way to start my day.

Blessings to you my friend♥
